Cancellation Policy

Golden Signature Services – Mobile Notary Appointment Policy 1. Scheduling Appointments Appointments may be scheduled by phone, email, or through our online request form. Please provide the type of document(s) requiring notarization, the number of signers, and your location when scheduling. Same-day appointments are subject to availability. 2. Identification Requirements All signers must present valid, government-issued photo identification at the time of the appointment. Acceptable forms include driver’s licenses, passports, state-issued IDs, or military IDs. Expired identification cannot be accepted under Alabama notary laws. 3. Document Preparation Documents must be fully completed before the notary arrives. Do not sign the document in advance; signatures must be made in the notary’s presence. The notary is not responsible for providing legal advice or drafting documents. 4. Travel & Fees A standard travel fee applies for appointments within the local service area. Extended travel outside the service area will incur additional fees, disclosed at booking. Fees for notarization services follow Alabama state guidelines. 5. Cancellations & Rescheduling Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule without penalty. Cancellations within less than 24 hours may result in a cancellation fee equal to the travel charge. No-shows will be charged the travel fee plus any applicable minimum service charge. 6. Payment Policy Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. Accepted payment methods include cash, major credit/debit cards, or secure mobile payment apps. Invoices are available for business and repeat clients. 7. Witnesses If witnesses are required, the signer is responsible for providing them unless otherwise arranged in advance with the notary. Witnesses must also present valid ID. 8. Service Limitations Notaries cannot provide legal advice or determine the validity of a document. The notary reserves the right to refuse service if the signer appears unwilling, coerced, or unable to provide proper identification. 9. Confidentiality All client information and documents will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
